Shipping policy

Tracking

You will receive shipping confirmation once your order has been fulfilled, and it is in the queue for collection from our courier company. You can track your parcel by clicking on the tracking number that was sent through to you with your order confirmation. You will be redirected to the website where you can enter in your tracking number and details regarding your parcel will be populated. Once the parcel is in the hands of the courier service it is best to follow up with them directly for any queries.

Kindly email the Proof of Payment to online@gemschoolwear.co.za to avoid any delays in receipting your payment. Incorrect references and failure to send a proof of payment will result in payment processing delays.

Please note that we allow up to 7 days for payment, thereafter, your order will be cancelled. If payment is delayed, items may go out of stock from the time the order is placed and when we receive payment.

Shipping rates

We have a flat-rate shipping charge of R120.00 for orders under R1200.00. Orders above R1200.00 receive free shipping.
Estimated delivery time to major cities (Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town): 3 to 5 working days
Estimated delivery times to regional/outlying areas: up to 7 working days. Delivery times are dependent on courier transit times and may vary.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has been fulfilled, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking link and your respective waybill number. If there are any issues with your tracking details, kindly contact us at online@gemschoolwear.co.za and we will investigate. Once the parcel is in the hands of the courier service it is best to follow up with them directly for any queries or to make delivery arrangements.

Missed Delivery

Please note that our courier partners will make up to 2 attempts to deliver your parcel. If you are unable to receive your parcel, kindly make arrangements with our courier partner. If your parcel is sent back to us, you will be liable for return shipping costs to send the parcel back to you, or collection from us.

Shipping to P.O. boxes/Postnet

We do not ship to P.O. Box Addresses or Postnet branches. We do, however, offer delivery to The Courier Guy kiosks nationwide.

High-Risk area deliveries

Please note that deliveries to areas marked as high-risk by our courier partner, as well as areas listed below, may attract a surcharge before delivery can occur. Alternatively, we will deliver to another address provided by you. We also offer delivery to Courier Guy Kiosks nationwide.

Non Delivery Areas

This is a list of areas not covered by couriers. Our free shipping will therefore NOT apply to these areas. Please enquire or let us know if you have another courier service you know operates in your area. Free shipping is not guaranteed with another courier service.
